Bloomtwin Stories comes from the Bloomtwin Garden Desk, the people and tools behind Bloomtwin, the garden planner. Its editor is the founder, Arné De Klerk, a gardener and software maker in Bedfordshire, who is responsible for everything published here.

What we write about

What's happening in gardens now: the season, the weather, the jobs and the plants worth growing. Each story draws on Bloomtwin's data on 73,000 plants and its sun, frost and watering models.

How stories are made

Stories are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked: every fact against the sources listed under the story, and every plant against our catalogue. Sources are linked so you can read them yourself. Pictures are our own renders from Bloomtwin, or credited photographs used under their licence.

If something is wrong or out of date, email hello@bloomtwin.com. We correct it, and the story shows the date it was updated.
